Exhibition of the glass based art and stained glass windows of Kim en Joong, at the Centre International de Vitrail de Chatres. Based at the Musée Marcel Dessal de Dreux, this exhibition covers the life of Louis Gain, arguably the 'first' documentary reporter. Detailing Gain's expedition with commandant Charcot on the ship 'Pourquoi Pas?', numerous voyages of exploration and the extreme moments of his life, tickets are priced between €2.20 and €4.40. The Musée de l'Hospice Saint-Roch presents a panorama of sculptures from the second half of the 20th Century. Pieces of art are from the 'Centre National des Art Plastiques en Region Centre'. For the first time, the last original pictures by Leonardo Da Vinci return to the Chateau De Clos Lucé - the same place in which the Italian master drew them 5 centuries earlier. When night falls, the 'valley troglodityque des Goupillieres' of Azay-le-Rideau is lit to reveal the farms and unique subterrenean houses of the inhabitants of the region. Music is echoed around the area to make every walk mysterious and dramatic. Illumination begins at 22.00 in July and 21.30 from August onwards. From 1st September the event closes at 19:30.
